Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers a unique experience with individually designed rooms, a complete contrast to larger resorts on the north side of the island. The rooms were nicely done, attractive, and filled with convenient amenities like an umbrella, a laundry bag, and a little fridge. However, the room size was a bit small. The service was excellent, friendly, and professional, with fantastic features like housekeeping, grocery shopping service, and tours/ticket assistance. The location is authentic, with a Jamaican spirit, great food, and nice cottages with sea views, although it may not be ideal for seniors. Dining was delicious, especially the callaloo fritters, and the facilities were top-notch. The hotel is nestled in a lush seaside jungle garden with fanciful stone mosaic pathways, a safe haven in Treasure Beach on the south coast of the island.
The hotel offers a mix of positive and negative aspects. The rooms are clean but slightly lacking in essentials given the price. The location in Treasure Beach provides a genuine Jamaican experience, though it's a bit far from Montego Bay Airport. The food at Smurfs was delicious, complemented by the beachside setting, but the pricing could be better.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room was right on the water overlooking the reef and had many convenient amenities like an umbrella, a laundry bag, and a little fridge. The shower experience overlooking the sea was truly breathtaking, although the price was a bit on the higher side.
The hotel offers a unique and eclectic experience with individually designed rooms. While the rooms lack some basic amenities like night stands and bathroom hooks, the spectacular ocean view and peaceful location are truly memorable.
I had a wonderful stay at Seaweed Cottage. Carleen and Merville were terrific hosts. The room was small but cozy, with an outdoor shower, perched atop the rocks, offering breathtaking views of the crashing waves of the Caribbean Sea. The service was top-notch, on par with any five-star European hotel. The location was perfect, just a quick climb down the ladder to reach the beach. The dining experience was delicious, especially the callaloo fritters. Pricey but worth it.
I had an amazing stay at the hotel. The rooms were beautifully done, nestled in a lush garden of West Indies flowers and palms, offering a unique and cozy atmosphere compared to the larger resorts on the island. The rooms were not only attractive but also well-equipped with thoughtful amenities like an umbrella, laundry bag, and a mini fridge. However, the dining options were a bit on the expensive side, and the jerk chicken dinner at Sprat's seemed to have increased in price.
